Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Alhaji Mohammed Sa’ad Abubakar III, yesterday broke his silence on the controversial Islamic banking, insisting that there was no going back. This is even as he took a different position on the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram menace, saying that the sect was not responsible for most of the bombings in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital. NORWAY BEGINS INVESTIGATION OF FRIDAY ATTACK

Norway have begin to investigate Breivik attacks Norwegian, PM Jens Stoltenberg has speak on the creation of a "22 July Commission" to investigate Friday's bomb and gun attacks. He said the commission, agreed to by all political parties, would analyse everything that happened. The speed of the police response to Anders Behring Breivik's second attack, on Utoeya island, has been questioned. The shootings, and a bomb attack on government buildings in the capital, Oslo, left at least 76 people dead. Mr Breivik, a far-right extremist, admits carrying out the attacks. On Wednesday police released the names of 13 more victims who died in the attacks. Ten were teenagers and the youngest was 14-year-old Sharidyn Svebakk-Bohn - all were killed on Utoeya. The first four names were released on Tuesday.

THE FIRST NEW YORK GAY MARRIAGE

Elise Barcolas and her partner Jenna Glazer stood patiently in line, Elise in a magenta satin dress and Jenna in a purple floral print, hoping for a day of double firsts.
Elise's brother Eric and his partner Michael stood right behind them, dressed identically in white linen shirts and wrap-around sunglasses.
"We might be the first same sex sibling double wedding in New York state," said Elise excitedly.
Elise and Eric's mother, Stella Barcolas, queued for more than three hours to see her children married.
"I'm ecstatic," Stella told me, "I wish them the very best, they're wonderful. This doesn't affect anybody else's life, they have the same rights and privileges as other people."

BIN LADEN'S PLOT TO ATTACK OBAMA REVEALED

Documents in bin Laden compound discuss attacking Obama. Documents recovered from Osama bin Laden's compound in Pakistan show that al Qaeda spoke of attacking President Barack Obama and Gen. David Petraeus, a source familiar with the materials recovered from the compound said Friday. The documents refer to an attack that would destroy the aircraft carrying Obama and Petraeus in the region, the source said, referring to the Afghanistan, Pakistan area. The documents also referred in a more general way to a desire by al Qaeda to attack the president and Petraeus, who was will be departing soon as the U.S....

BOKOHARAM PLANS UNCOVERS

A security alert was triggered last night as soldiers intercepted a truck conveying no fewer than 700 explosives in Abuja. It was found out the vehicle escorted by two unarmed policemen was intercepted at the Abuja City Gate at about 8.00 p.m. The serving policemen had successfully beaten all security athey got to Lugbe on the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Road, where soldiers on routine duty stopped them. It was gathered that the soldiers demanded to know what was in the truck and ordered the policemen to alight.The policemen were said to have refused the order, insisting they were doing the same kind of work with the soldiers.....
